It’s official: we (the VMUG Italy board) have been working for some time behind the scenes to organize the first VCAP/VCDX Boot Camp in Italy, and now we can officially announce it.

Mark this date and location on your calendar: April 7th, 2014, Milan, Italy.

This special (and free!) educational event will be run by Mr. John Arrasjid, alias @vcdx001: he will introduce VMware Advanced Certifications like VCAP-DCA, VCAP-DCD and VCDX to potential candidates. These certifications are much harder to obtain than VCP and require proper planning and a good knowledge of the exam dynamics.

The purpose of these workshops is indeed to teach the candidates how to correctly approach the preparation, organize their study and understand what it is expected from them during the exam, this to maximize the chances of scoring a pass at first try.

The Boot Camp will be held in English and you must be at least VCP certified to attend.

The preliminary agenda (exact timing is still being finalized) is this:

  • 9:00-10:30 VCAP Admin
  • 10:30-10:45 break
  • 10:45-12:30 VCAP Design
  • 12:30-13:30 lunch
  • 13:30-17:00 VCDX

There is no formal registration form. If you are interested, please contact John Arrasjid directly, sending him an email (in English) at johna (AT) vmware (DOT) com specifying the following details:

  • Name
  • Company
  • Twitter Handle
  • Email
  • What VMware certifications do you hold
  • Which sessions would you like to attend

Seats are limited, so provided that you have the minimum requirements, the first registered ones will be admitted.

*** UPDATE ***

As of today, Feb 13th, all the available seats have been reserved. We cannot accept further reservations. Thank you for the overwhelming feedback to our initiative!

More details, including the actual location and agenda will follow.

See you in Milan!
